It may be the one movie I MUST watch based on all the blog posts I’ve done. Here’s the latest one staring Michael Fassbender (or F. Assbender as filmdrunk coins him) as a Weyland android. Those that follow the “Alien” lore know about Ash and Bishop from the first movies and the roles they played in Ripley’s love/hate relationship.
What’s even stranger is I watched “Shame” last night, which Fassbender acted in as the main character. Distributed in limited theaters due to its NC-17 rating, it’s a story of a sex addict living in NY and coping with a difficult relationship with his younger sister. With so many movies in recent years (X-Men First Class, Centurion, etc), Fassbender is rising on my list of favorite actors with versatility to play interesting roles no one else will do.
