I showed this to a co-worker. her response? "oh, that looks instagramed!".
That one comment is the sole reason why this blog has the title it does.
Film is not dead. it's barely kept alive by mass-marketed and bastardized versions. Soon, people will not know the difference between an actual photo by film and an artificially filtered one. A completely different (yet parallel) tangent to those who depend on photoshop to make their photo, not to enhance it.

A Splinter's Worst Enemy
Is duct tape lined corners.
Sorry for so many teasers and not enough background. Working on a massive time lapse involving seven GoPros and not wanting to blog about it until it's done/have no time to blog until it's done. However, the contraption you see above will be used to get one of two GoPros to overhang the side of the building. The rest will have to wait. Here's my rough method of prototyping what was above:
Upper Left: where the camera was going to mount
Upper Right: notes and dimensions b/c i didn't have paper w/ me
Bottom: Google Sketch-Up design for the carpenters to build
