Samsara - 70mm Film and 4K Imagery

A friend posted this, and upon watching it, it makes me realize why film will never die. Shot in 70mm film and displayed on a 4K projector (4x the resolution of standard HD video), this will be a must in the newest IMAX theaters when it comes out.

2012 IDBF Club Crew World Championships, Hong Kong - Teaser

yes, it's kinda lame i'm editing teaser vids. but it's 11PM and i'm still at work. Would be great if i did nothing but time lapse and make vids, but quick edit teasers i feel are the best way to get something out there (half-ass) and give a realistic delivery date so people stop bugging you.

Here's the 2012 IDBF Club Crew World Championships, Hong Kong - Teaser, with gopro footage from the boat. the clamp you saw here worked out great in getting all the various angles within the boat. My trip to Hong Kong was about 9 years since my last one, and i treated it more of an away race than a vacation. The final video should be quite long, highlighting the 9+ days of spectating, traveling, eating, and racing.

Without further ado, here's another teaser!

Bridge Installation - Teaser

Just back from Hong Kong, have a day to work and prep for Comic-con. the video below was compiled from about 75k worth of photos, 250GB total. All done with the GoPro HD1 or GoPro HD2. More details will follow; it's still a work in progress.

Will try to get a teaser out on Hong Kong video as well; got some sweet 120fps shots from inside the boat. Enjoy!

How to Dry a Jersey, QUICK

So although my goal of blogging while on my HK flight didn't work out that great, here's a quick blog about how to dry your jersey, quick. Even a dry-fit you may plan on using for a few days straight in 90% humidity and 87 degrees, this method has worked out pretty well. We have folks paddling 3-4x a day for 4 days straight in some of the nastiest water the world has to offer (HK harbor). The comfort of a dry and relatively clean jersey always makes the first race a bit more bearable.
