How to Dry a Jersey, QUICK

So although my goal of blogging while on my HK flight didn't work out that great, here's a quick blog about how to dry your jersey, quick. Even a dry-fit you may plan on using for a few days straight in 90% humidity and 87 degrees, this method has worked out pretty well. We have folks paddling 3-4x a day for 4 days straight in some of the nastiest water the world has to offer (HK harbor). The comfort of a dry and relatively clean jersey always makes the first race a bit more bearable.

Step 1: wash your apparel in the sink. hot water and a hotel soap with the water running slowly over it maximizes the amount of soap that gets into the water.

Step 2: do the standard wring dry in sections; wringed sections should be kept from getting further wet by either resting it on  your knee or over your shoulder.

Step 3: get a towel or hand towel and place your jersey on top.

Step 4: roll that towel up.

Step 5: wring that towel. by sandwiching dry towel between wet clothing, it'll dry your clothing much faster.

Step 6: your paddle can be used as a clothes hanger in case you don't have a place to hang it up in your room. Hanging stuff up in the bathroom will make clothes dry the slowest as there's still humidity floating around. Your hotel room has enough circulation with the A/C to provide a quick dry.
