From entrance to exit, process took exactly one hour. Each eye was about 5 minutes, and did not feel rushed at all. Dr. Berg was re-assuring throughout the entire procedure, beit some comments were repeated more than 4-5 times. At no point during the operation was I told what was happening - to some, this would make them feel extremely nervous. However, I had checked out a youtube vid of another doc doing PRK in which he narrated all the steps out. This made things much more easier to reference and understand.
Dr. Berg was more than happy to give me a copy of my own procedure; I took the liberty of adding some captions as many people know what Lasik is but look like a confused corgi when PRK is mentioned.
Most nostalgic part? The smell of burnt hair as they vaporized the stroma (layer of cornea that is modified to correct your vision). A PES tube was stuck about 4 inches from my eye - once i saw that, it made me recall those damn PES units we've been asking from Siemens for my project's OR room medical booms.
I'll post a few recovery vids here as typing may not be the easiest thing.
